Viola Yeşiltaç's practice considers a range of socio-cultural issues, such as migration, through the lens of her personal history. She reflects intensively on the idiosyncrasies of places in her conceptually-driven works, which she does in a diverse range of media.
Viola is currently an artist in residence at the Istanbul Galata House and has had recent solo shows at Fondazione Brodbeck, Catania, David Lewis, New York; the Cooper Gallery, University of Dundee, Scotland. She has been included in group exhibitions at Levy Gorvy, New York, Museum of Contemporary Art, Detroit, Modern Art Oxford, Oxford and those at São Paulo's 30th International Biennial and The Kitchen, New York.
