From a body of work that originates in the creation of movements that straddle the line between sculpture and language, as well as investigations of form and poetry, the artist produces movements and document their symbolic equivalents by applying vinyl onto the walls, in a process of spatialization of body language.
Maria Noujaim holds a degree in Dance from the Angel Vianna School of Dance and is currently pursuing a doctorate degree in Social History of Culture from the Pontifical Catholic University in Rio de Janeiro — PUC-RJ. Nujaim’s art was recently featured at independent and institutional venues including Casamata (Rio de Janeiro), Átomos (Rio de Janeiro), Observatório (São Paulo), Oi Futuro (Rio de Janeiro), Casa França-Brasil (Rio de Janeiro), Castelinho do Flamengo (Rio de Janeiro) and A Gentil Carioca (Rio de Janeiro).
